Blush- One Word Prompt Poem

Blush

In the morning,

She applies blush.

Artificial of coarse-

No one makes her flush.

Well, not in a long time.

He use to make her heart flutter.

His glance made her cheeks fill,

With supple and hot blood.

She would often sit still

For his gaze entranced her

Now she will only blush,

At the mention of him.

The voices around will hush

At the sound of his name

Which brings back somber memories.

Lingering pink will stay,

On her olive skin.

Because the pain of him,

Will also not stray

Until she finds peace again.
